                              CIRRUS™ PLAYER AD LAYOUT

  • AUDIO AND VIDEO PRE-ROLL

Insert a captivating high-quality audio or video pre-roll before the live stream. As soon as the player loads, it will automatically start a 586x320 video with 300x250 companion banner, or play an audio feed with a 300x250 companion banner to the right. Play a :15, :30, or even :45 video or audio feed that listeners cannot skip. Once the audio or video pre-roll finishes, it will start playing the live stream. With geo-targeting abilities, pre-rolls can be set to display globally to one or more countries, only in the US, only outside the US, or selected DMAs. Rotate audio and video pre-rolls in a mix with multiple advertisers, or just one.

                        BANNER PRE-ROLL

Use banner pre-rolls to give listeners the ability to skip to the live stream. As soon as the player loads, it will display a banner within the player for 15 seconds, showing a countdown and an “X” that gives the listener the ability to skip. Once the timer runs out or the “X” is clicked, the live audio will begin. Banners can be 300x250 or 728x90 and can be set to display globally to one or more countries, only in the US, only outside the US, or selected DMAs. Run both sizes in a mix, or just one.

                    DISPLAY BANNERS

Display IAB standard banner sizes: 300x250 and 728x90. Each banner is considered “above the fold” and is never hidden from a listener’s sight. Banners can be set to display globally to one or more countries, only in the US, only outside the US, or selected DMAs. Run banners on a rotation schedule with multiple advertisers, or dedicate one spot for one advertiser. Have a sponsor for a specific radio show or segment? The scheduler provides the ability to set the day and time to display a banner.

                                                         5 RADIO BUTTONS

Up to 5 buttons can be set at the top of the player to either link to other websites, or to content sections within the player. These buttons can be sold for a premium, as they are a constant on the player. The button styles can be customized with an image, text, and background color and are especially useful in sponsorships. Radio station sponsors can have a dedicated button that links to their website or a page within the player that has more information about the sponsor.

              AUDIO AND VIDEO AD INSERTION

When a station goes on a commercial break, audio and video ads kick in automatically. When a station returns from commercial break, the stream will start back up. Display a 586x320 video with 300x250 companion banner, or play an audio feed with a 300x250 companion banner, exactly as how the pre-rolls display. Ad insertion can be setup to display both audio and video ads in a mix of multiple advertisers and can be geo-targeted globally to one or more countries, only in the US, only outside the US, or selected DMAs.

BEST PRACTICES IN ONLINE AD PLACEMENT

Since advertising is the driving force behind radio, the Cirrus™ Player is designed for maximum advertising exposure.

No ad ever goes unseen since all ads are “above the fold”

VAST/VPAID player video sizes

IAB standard banner sizes: 300x250 728x90

Ads can be scheduled to run only on certain days or times

Geo-target audiences by country code, IP number, DMA or device-type
Impactful audio and video ads

Mobile app advertising

Ads are never covered, even when player apps are being used by listeners

SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Create a ‘takeover’ skin for players. More and more stations are uploading a themed skin for an advertiser. This becomes a powerful promotional tool and is useful in really promoting a brand. Player skins can be changed at any time.
Sponsorship of the logo placement. The station’s logo is displayed at the top-left of the player and is always displayed. Re-create a logo with the sponsor name. Logos can be changed at any time.

Radio buttons or content sections. Sponsors can purchase one or more radio buttons (up to 5) and link to another website or open a content section within the player, “This station is sponsored by….etc.”
Sync banners with shows or segments. Use the scheduler to schedule banners to run during

certain shows or segments, letting listeners know who it’s sponsored by.
Pre-rolls for major sponsors. Upload video, audio, or banner pre-rolls for major sponsors. Create a compelling audio or video pre-roll that says “This station is sponsored by….etc.” Banners can also have the same effect in rich-media form. Since this is the first thing listeners see upon launching the player, video pre-rolls should be a premium spot, followed by audio pre-rolls, then banner pre-rolls.

Sponsorship of mobile apps. Use the station logo within the mobile app as a way to promote a sponsor. Re-create a logo containing the sponsor name for appearance on the app. Mobile app logos can be changed at any time.
